How We Got Started
In 1966, the Marco Island Woman’s Club (MIWC) was chartered by a group of 16 friends who shared a vision of supporting the people of Marco Island and helping their growing community thrive. What began as a small gathering of dedicated women quickly grew into a respected organization committed to service, friendship, and civic engagement.
From the very beginning, the club focused on helping local residents, charitable organizations, and community initiatives, creating a strong foundation for decades of volunteerism, philanthropy, and community leadership.
A Legacy of Service and Friendship
Today, the Marco Island Woman’s Club continues to be both an active social network for women on Marco Island and a civic-minded organization with a proud tradition of community service.
Our members come together to build lasting friendships while working collaboratively to support programs that strengthen our community. Through our events, volunteer efforts, and fundraising initiatives, we proudly support education, scholarships, and charitable programs through the Marco Island Woman’s Club Charitable Foundation.

Our Mission
The Marco Island Woman’s Club brings women together in friendship, service, and community involvement. Our mission is to support and strengthen our community through volunteerism, charitable fundraising, educational programs, and meaningful connections among members.
Through the Marco Island Woman’s Club Charitable Foundation, we proudly support local nonprofit organizations, provide scholarships to deserving students, and contribute to programs that enhance the quality of life for individuals and families in the Marco Island area.
We believe that when women unite with a shared purpose, we can create lasting and meaningful change in our community.
