Supporting the Marco Island Community
The Marco Island Woman’s Club is a network of socially conscious women committed to improving and supporting the local community. In addition to promoting volunteerism, the Club also provides an active social network of like-minded women from a broad spectrum of geographies and backgrounds.
Our History
The Marco Island Woman’s Club was chartered in 1966 by a group of 16 friends to support the Island’s people and various non-profit groups. Over the years, the Club has been instrumental in the founding of the Marco Island Public Library; championing the need for and financially supporting the realization of the Marco Healthcare Center; and initiating both the beautification movement on Marco Island and the original youth center, which grew into the present-day YMCA.
Today the Club takes great pride in its many accomplishments. The Club continues to give to others by (1) providing educational scholarships to Island high school students through the Marco Island Woman’s Club Foundation (2) raising and donating funds to organizations that directly support the Club’s strong interest in education; and, (3) providing funds to local civic, healthcare and social service organizations.
